Matterhorn will no longer feature on Toblerone packaging

The iconic Matterhorn mountain, located in Zermatt, Switzerland, is due to be removed from the packaging of the famous Toblerone bars.
The decision is being forced on Mondelez, the owners of the brand, as production is moving from Switzerland to Bratislava in Slovakia. Swiss laws say that under the 'Swissness Act' national symbols can only be used on products that are Swiss-made.
The definition says that be considered Swiss-made at least 80% of the raw materials must come from Switzerland, with exceptions for items that cannot be sourced from the country, such as cocoa.
There will still be a mountain on the Toblerone packaging; it will just be a more 'generic-looking' mountain. Or as Mondelez put it:
"The packaging redesign introduces a modernised and streamlined mountain logo that aligns with the geometric and triangular aesthetic."
