Snow Forecast Summary - 30th December 2010
Published : 30-Dec-2010 11:56
Our final weekly snow mail of 2010 is a relatively quiet one (for Europe at least). This past week the most notable snow action in the Northern Hemisphere was to the East Coast of the United States which saw widely reported snow storms bring over 1 metre (four feet) of snow to New England resorts.
In Europe there were some significant falls of snow last weekend, particularly in the Northern and Western Alps, although temperatures have eased and the weather cleared since.
European Weather and Snow This Coming Weekend
It looks like a fairly uneventful forecast for the next few days. The main feature, across Europe, will be temperatures falling to well below their seasonal averages as we enter the New Year. Precipitation is unlikely to be significant until later next week... after which the forecast models are hinting at another episode of snow, but more on that next week.
Could be worth watching the forecasts for next weekend...
