The family-run Apartmenthotel Sonnenhof is situated on a hill, about 1.3 km from the centre of Maria Alm. The valley station of the Abergbahn 8-seater gondola lift is approx. 1 km away (approx. 450 m on foot), which takes you conveniently to the mountain station of the Hochkönig - Maria Alm ski area. A ski bus, which departs approx. 250 m away, also takes you to the Natrun T-bar lift approx. 1.3 km away. The entrance to a cross-country ski trail is about 500 m away and there is a grocery store about 900 m away.

The modern accommodation facilities include a reception, Wi-Fi, lift, lounge, breakfast room, ski cellar and parking spaces. A carport and a charging station for electric cars are available for a fee and subject to availability.
