Pelican Point Sanctuary is a unique wetland and grassland 87 acre property located 2 kilometres from St Helens, on the road to Bay of Fires, Tasmania.
We offer a diverse range of accommodation ranging from 'Blue Wren Cottage', nestled among the trees to villas with floor-to-ceiling windows that maximise your exposure to nature and silence. All the accommodation is self-contained.
The property shares a 3 kilometre frontage with Georges Bay conservation area, a further two frontages are shared with the George River and the waterway of Grannies Gut, so bring your kayak.
There are three short walks on the property where you can spot some of the 43 species of bird living/nesting here, Take the 10 minute one way walk to our private bird hide.

Two-Bedroom Villa - Heron (Sleeps 3, 1 Bathroom)
Heron is a two bedroom, one bathroom villa that has a deck running its entire length. There is a large open plan kitchen/living/dining area. The master bedroom has a king bed, separate walk-in robe and television. The second bedroom has twin beds and a wardrobe. There is a spacious shared bathroom and separate toilet room.
One-Bedroom Villa (Sleeps 2, 1 Bathroom)
Sandpiper has a fully self contained kitchen together with an open plan dining and living area. Bedroom one has a queen size bed, wardrobe and access to the deck. There is a shower/basin room that has a walk-in tiled shower and adjacent a separate toilet room.
Three-Bedroom Cottage - Kookaburra (Bungalow, Sleeps 4, 1 Bathroom)
Kookaburra, two of the three bedrooms are located on ground level and bedroom one with a queen bed is located in the loft. Bedroom two has a double bed and wardrobe and bedroom three contains two single beds and a wardrobe. A modest living/dining area and a small self-contained kitchen. There is one bathroom with walk in tiled shower and the toilet is located in this room :)

Studio Villa - Robin (Sleeps 2, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom)
Robin is a studio style space with a king bed, wardrobe, and access to a small private deck. There is a separate kitchenette, and the bathroom, which contains the toilet, is located via hallway off the living area.
One-Bedroom Cottage - Blue Wren (Bungalow, Sleeps 2, 1 Bathroom)
Blue Wren is a fully self-contained studio cottage. There is a queen bed with wardrobe adjacent, a bathroom with walk-in tiled shower and studio style living area with eat-in kitchen.
Three-Bedroom Villa (Sleeps 4, 2 Bathrooms)
Egret with three bedrooms and two bathrooms can comfortably accommodate six people. There is a generous open-plan living kitchen area that has floor to ceiling windows/doors onto the adjacent deck. The large bedroom one retreat has a king bed, separate bathroom and private outdoor deck. Bedroom two and three have queen beds and wardrobes, additionally there is a separate bathroom and toilet room.
Three-Bedroom House (Room, Sleeps 4, 2 Bathrooms)
Kingfisher is a comfortable 1980's, 3 bedroom, two bathroom house with a partly fenced rear garden and ample parking for trailers, campers etc. There is a spacious open plan living/dining/kitchen area and a private outdoor area with bbq. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, television, wardrobe and ensuite. Bedrooms two and three are a double and twin respectively, both with built-in wardrobes.
Superior Villa (Sleeps 4, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms)
Platypus has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, together with a generous open plan kitchen/living dining space. Bedroom one is a queen size bed, television and the ensuite has a walk-in tiled shower. Bedroom two has a king bed that can be split for single sleepers, wardrobe and a television. Adjacent a walk-in tiled shower bathroom. This villa has sweeping views of the property out to Georges Bay. Borrow our Pelican Point binoculars and walk out to the property bird hide, a 10-minute walk one-way.
Studio with Mountain View (Sleeps 2, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom)
This studio has a balcony, private entrance and oven.
Three-Bedroom Villa (Sleeps 6, 2 Bathrooms)
Featuring a private entrance, this air-conditioned villa consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a living room. The villa provides a seating area, a sofa and heating. The unit offers 3 beds.
