In addition to the skiing in Altenmarkt itself (17km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Altenmarkt-Zauchensee ski resort of Zauchensee.

The ski area around Altenmarkt is part of the larger Ski Amadé region, boasting an impressive elevation of up to 2,700 meters. Key lifts include the Hochbifangbahn and the Zauchensee lift, providing access to notable pistes like the blue-marked Hochbifang and the challenging black runs in Zauchensee.

Altenmarkt offers good sking, particularly, for Expert and Intermediate skiers.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Altenmarkt is Salzburg, 49 minutes drive away.

Linz, Klagenfurt, Graz, Munich, Innsbruck Airport, Vienna and Brno airports are all within three hours drive.

Salzburg is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

To reach Altenmarkt, the nearest major airport is Salzburg, approximately 70 kilometers away. From Salzburg, travelers can take a train or drive via the A10 motorway, making for a scenic journey.
