Lermoos

 Summary

Nestled at the foot of the Zugspitze, Lermoos boasts 50 kilometers of well-groomed slopes. Its family-friendly atmosphere attracts visitors of all levels, ensuring everyone finds their perfect run.

The ski area of Lermoos is in the Austrian Alps at an altitude of 1,000m, with 30km of marked runs.

Lermoos is part of the Zugspitz Arena ski area with access to 30 marked pistes, served by a total of 47 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Lermoos itself (30km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Zugspitz Arena ski resorts of Berwang and Ehrwald.

With ski lifts as high as 2,230m, snow cover is generally reliable.

The ski area in Lermoos spans the Grubigstein Mountain, reaching an elevation of 2,227 meters. Notable pistes include the blue-marked 'Zugspitze' run and the challenging red 'Grubigstein' slope, accessible via lifts like the Grubig I and II gondolas.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Lermoos is Innsbruck Airport, 58 minutes drive away.

Memmingen, Munich, St. Gallen-Altenrhein, Bolzano, Friedrichshafen, Salzburg and Stuttgart airports are all within three hours drive.

Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Lermoos is easily accessible by car from major cities like Munich and Innsbruck, with well-marked routes. The nearest train station is Lermoos itself, connecting to larger transport hubs.

The nine ski lifts are able to uplift 12,500 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow Making

Snow-making is available, on 12km of ski runs, with 15 snow cannons.

When is Lermoos open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Early Apr.
