Skiing

The Lofer ski area spans across the Loferer Alm, reaching an elevation of 1,634 meters. With over 46 kilometers of pistes, notable runs include the 'Schwarzeck' and 'Hochalm,' while the 'Loferer Alm' gondola and 'Alm Shuttle' lift provide seamless access to the slopes.

Lofer offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate and Beginner skiers.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Lofer is Salzburg, 50 minutes drive away.

Innsbruck Airport, Linz, Munich, Bolzano and Memmingen airports are all within three hours drive.

Salzburg is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Lofer is easily accessible via Salzburg Airport, approximately 40 km away. From the airport, take the A1 motorway towards Lofer for a scenic drive through the Alps.

Ski Lift Capacity

The 18 ski lifts are able to uplift 13,600 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow Making

Snow-making is available, on 7km of ski runs, with 20 snow cannons.

Season Dates

When is Lofer open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Mid April.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.

Aprés Ski

After a day on the slopes, unwind at the lively 'Schwarzeck' bar for drinks or enjoy a cozy meal at 'Gasthof zur Post.' The resort's après-ski scene strikes the perfect balance between relaxation and fun.
