Oberammergau is surrounded by the stunning Ammergebirge mountains, with a ski area that reaches elevations of up to 1,800 meters. The resort features over 30 kilometers of pistes, including notable runs like the Hörnle and the Dammkar, serviced by lifts such as the Hörnlebahn and the Dammkarbahn.

Oberammergau offers good sking, particularly, for Expert and Intermediate skiers.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Oberammergau is Innsbruck Airport, 70 minutes drive away.

Munich, Memmingen, Salzburg, St. Gallen-Altenrhein, Friedrichshafen, Bolzano and Nuremberg airports are all within three hours drive.

Oberammergau is easily accessible via Munich Airport, located about 90 kilometers away. The journey typically involves a scenic drive through the Bavarian countryside, with well-maintained roads leading directly to the resort.
