The Åre ski area features several mountains, including Åreskutan, with its highest point at 1,420 meters. Notable pistes include the 'World Cup' run and the 'Björnen' area for beginners, serviced by lifts like the 'Åre Gondolen' and 'VM8'.

Åre offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate and Beginner skiers.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Åre is Åre Östersund, 88 minutes drive away.

Trondheim airport is also within three hours drive.

To reach Åre, fly into Åre Östersund Airport (OSD) or Trondheim Airport (TRD) and take a shuttle or drive. The resort is easily accessible by train from major cities like Stockholm.

Usual opening is early November, and usual closing is Early May.
