Skiing

Sun Peaks features three main mountains: Tod Mountain, Sundance Mountain, and Mount Morrissey, providing a total of 4,270 acres of skiable terrain. The highest elevation is 2,100 meters, with notable pistes like the 'Morrisey Glades' and 'The Burfield Run,' accessed by lifts such as the Sunburst Express and the Orient Chair.

There are a variety of pistes to suit all levels of skier ability, from Beginner to Expert.

Snowboarding

Snowboarders will enjoy the terrain parks, including the 'Mighty Moose Terrain Park' and 'Sun Peaks Park,' which cater to various skill levels. These parks feature jumps, rails, and boxes, ensuring a fun experience for all.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Sun Peaks is Kamloops, 63 minutes drive away.

Kelowna airport is also within three hours drive.

Kamloops is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

The easiest way to reach Sun Peaks is via Kamloops Airport, located about 60 km away. From the airport, you can take a shuttle or drive along the BC-5 highway for a scenic journey to the resort.

Ski Lift Capacity

The six ski lifts are able to uplift 7,263 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow Making

Snow-making is available, on 3km of ski runs, with 21 snow cannons.

Season Dates

When is Sun Peaks open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is late November, and usual closing is Early April.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.
