Skiing

Alta features over 116 runs, with a vertical drop of 2,020 feet and a summit elevation of 11,068 feet. Notable areas include the legendary Baldy and the extensive terrain accessed by the Alta Ski Lifts, including the Wildcat and Albion lifts.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Alta is Salt Lake City, 62 minutes drive away.

Jackson Hole and Idaho Falls airports are all within three hours drive.

Salt Lake City is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

To reach Alta, fly into Salt Lake City International Airport, approximately 30 miles away. From there, take I-215 and then Route 210 to access the resort.

Usual opening is mid November, and usual closing is Late April.
