The ski area of Lake Tahoe comprises the ski slopes of 11 ski areas, including Boreal, Heavenly and Northstar-at-Tahoe.
The ski area includes 11 Ski Resorts with a combined total of 259km of downhill skiing, with 84 marked pistes, served by a total of 29 ski lifts. The appropriate Lift Pass allows you to ski or snowboard in any of the ski areas of Boreal, Diamond Peak, Donner Ski Ranch, Heavenly, Homewood, Kirkwood, Mount Rose Ski Tahoe, Northstar-at-Tahoe, Palisades Tahoe, Sierra-at-Tahoe and Sugar Bowl.
With ski lifts as high as 3,080m, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

Lake Tahoe's ski areas cover over 400 inches of annual snowfall with elevations reaching up to 10,000 feet. Notable pistes include the Heavenly's Gunbarrel run and Northstar's Lookout Mountain, served by lifts like the Heavenly Gondola and Northstar Express.

How to get there
By Air
The nearest airport to Lake Tahoe is Atlanta, 23 minutes drive away.
Chicago O'Hare, Reno Tahoe, Boise, Sacramento, Friedman Memorial, Chattanooga, Mitchell/Milwaukee, Chico Muni, Mammoth Yosemite, Modesto City and Louisville airports are all within three hours drive.
Atlanta, Chicago O'Hare and Reno Tahoe are just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
Accessing Lake Tahoe is straightforward via major routes from Reno-Tahoe International Airport, which is about an hour away. From there, take US-395 or I-80 to reach the various ski areas.
