The ski area of Lake Tahoe comprises the ski slopes of 11 ski areas, including Heavenly, Homewood and Kirkwood.
Summary
The ski area includes 11 Ski Resorts with a combined total of 259km of downhill skiing, with 84 marked pistes, served by a total of 29 ski lifts. The appropriate Lift Pass allows you to ski or snowboard in any of the ski areas of Boreal, Diamond Peak, Donner Ski Ranch, Heavenly, Homewood, Kirkwood, Mount Rose Ski Tahoe, Northstar-at-Tahoe, Palisades Tahoe, Sierra-at-Tahoe and Sugar Bowl.
With ski lifts as high as 3,080m, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.
Skiing
Lake Tahoe offers good sking, particularly, for Expert and Intermediate skiers.

Lake Tahoe offers some good boarding and there are a variety of Snow and Terrain Parks.

How to get there
By Air
The nearest airport to Lake Tahoe is Atlanta, 23 minutes drive away.
Chicago O'Hare, Reno Tahoe, Louisville, Sacramento, Chattanooga, Mitchell/Milwaukee, Chico Muni, Mammoth Yosemite and Modesto City airports are all within three hours drive.
Atlanta, Chicago O'Hare and Reno Tahoe are just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
