Skiing

Hunter Mountain boasts over 320 acres of skiable terrain, with a vertical drop of 1,600 feet. The resort is home to notable runs like the challenging 'Rams Head' and 'Ridge' trails, serviced by lifts such as the Hunter Mountain Express and the Skyway. Several distinct areas, including the beginner-friendly 'Cub Way,' ensure that all skill levels find their perfect slope.

Hunter Mountain offers good sking, particularly, for Expert and Intermediate skiers.

Snowboarding

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Hunter Mountain is Albany, 88 minutes drive away.

Stewart, Binghamton, Westchester Co, Newark Liberty, La Guardia NY, Bradley, JFK New York and Ithaca airports are all within three hours drive.

Hunter Mountain is easily accessible via major routes, located about 2.5 hours north of New York City. The recommended route is via the NY-87 N, ensuring a smooth drive to this beloved ski destination.

When is Hunter Mountain open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is late November, and usual closing is Early May.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.

Aprés Ski

After a day on the slopes, unwind at the iconic 'The Kaatskill Mountain Club' or enjoy drinks at 'Jager Barn.' For dining, the 'Van Winkle's' offers a cozy atmosphere and hearty meals, perfect for refueling.
