Gerlos

Gerlos is a charming ski resort nestled in the Zillertal Valley. With a variety of slopes and stunning views, it's perfect for all winter sports enthusiasts.

Gerlos offers access to over 140 kilometers of ski runs, catering to skiers and snowboarders of all levels. It is part of the larger Zillertal Arena, ensuring a vibrant and diverse skiing experience.

The ski area of Gerlos is in the Austrian Alps at an altitude of 1,250m, with 115km of marked runs.

Gerlos is part of the Zillertal Arena ski area with access to 143 marked pistes, served by a total of 112 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Gerlos itself (115km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Zillertal Arena ski resorts of Königsleiten and Zell am Ziller.

With ski lifts as high as 2,300m, snow cover is generally reliable.

Skiing

The Gerlos ski area features elevations ranging from 1,300 to 2,500 meters. Notable pistes include the challenging 'Königsleiten' run and the family-friendly 'Gerlosstein' while key lifts such as the 'Isskogelbahn' and 'Zillertal Arena' ensure efficient access to the slopes.

Gerlos offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate skiers.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Gerlos is Innsbruck Airport, 70 minutes drive away.

Munich, Salzburg and Bolzano airports are all within three hours drive.

Gerlos is easily accessible via Innsbruck Airport, approximately 80 km away, with well-connected road routes. Alternatively, Munich Airport is about 180 km from the resort.

The 40 ski lifts are able to uplift 52,450 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow-making is available, on 71km of ski runs, with 319 snow cannons.

Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Late April.
