Hochfügen is part of the Hochzillertal-Hochfügen ski area with access to 49 marked pistes, served by a total of 46 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Hochfügen itself (27 pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Hochzillertal-Hochfügen ski resorts of Aschau im Zillertal, Fügen and Kaltenbach.

With ski lifts as high as 2,400m, snow cover is generally reliable.

The Hochfügen ski area reaches elevations of up to 2,500 meters, with a variety of pistes catering to different skill levels. Key lifts include the Zillertal Shuttle and the Hochfügen 1, with notable runs like the blue-marked 'Hochfügen' and the challenging black 'Schwarze Piste'.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Hochfügen is Innsbruck Airport, 52 minutes drive away.

Munich, Salzburg, Bolzano, Memmingen, St. Gallen-Altenrhein and Friedrichshafen airports are all within three hours drive.

Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Hochfügen is easily accessible via major airports like Innsbruck, located about 50 km away. From there, shuttle services and rental cars provide convenient access to the resort.

The 11 ski lifts are able to uplift 13,000 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow-making is available, on 1km of ski runs, with 4 snow cannons.

When is Hochfügen open?

Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Late April.

Aprés Ski
