La Foux d'Allos

La Foux d'Allos is a charming ski resort located in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region. It offers a diverse range of slopes and breathtaking mountain views.

This ski resort boasts access to the expansive Espace Lumière ski area, featuring over 180 kilometers of slopes suitable for all skill levels. With modern lifts and a welcoming atmosphere, it’s a great destination for skiers and snowboarders alike.

The ski area of La Foux d'Allos is in the French Alps at an altitude of 1,800m, with 95km of marked runs.

La Foux d'Allos is part of the Espace Lumière ski area with access to 136 marked pistes, served by a total of 120 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in La Foux d'Allos itself (95km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Espace Lumière ski resorts of Pra Loup, Seignus (Val d'Allos 1500) and Val d'Allos.

The ski resort itself is at 1,800m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With ski lifts as high as 2,600m, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

The resort typically enjoys a solid snow cover, with average depths of 80 to 120 cm throughout the season. Snowfall usually starts in late November, and you can check J2Ski for the latest conditions and forecasts.

Skiing

La Foux d'Allos sits at an elevation of 1,400 meters, with peaks reaching up to 2,750 meters. Highlights include the challenging red run 'L'Escapade' and the family-friendly 'Les Ecrins', serviced by lifts such as the Télésiège des Chauvins and the Télécabine de l'Observatoire.

La Foux d'Allos offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate and Beginner skiers.

Snowboarding

Snowboarders will find great terrain parks at La Foux d'Allos, including the 'Park des Chauvins', which features various obstacles and jumps for all levels. The wide-open slopes also offer ample opportunities for freeriding.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to La Foux d'Allos is Nice, 130 minutes drive away.

Turin Cuneo, Cannes and Marseille Provence airports are all within three hours drive.

La Foux d'Allos is accessible via the Nice Côte d'Azur Airport, approximately 130 kilometers away. From there, you can reach the resort by car or shuttle service, taking the D908 and D955 routes for scenic views.

Ski Lift Capacity

The 21 ski lifts are able to uplift 40,000 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow Making

Snow-making is available, on 50km of ski runs, with 120 snow cannons.

Season Dates

When is La Foux d'Allos open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is early December (Opens first weekend of December if snow conditions good), and usual closing is Mid April.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.

Aprés Ski

For après-ski, La Foux d'Allos has cozy bars like Le Bistrot de l'Ourse and restaurants such as La Table de l'Ours, serving delicious local cuisine. Nightlife options are limited but inviting, making it perfect for winding down after a day on the slopes.
