Nestled in the Maurienne Valley, St François Longchamp boasts over 160 km of skiable terrain. The resort's elevation reaches 2,250 meters, ensuring excellent snow coverage throughout the season.

The ski area of St François Longchamp is in the French Alps at an altitude of 1,450m, with 65km of marked runs.

St François Longchamp is part of the Le Grand Domaine ski area with access to 167 marked pistes, served by a total of 38 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in St François Longchamp itself (65km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Le Grand Domaine ski resorts of Doucy-Combelouvière and Valmorel.

With ski lifts as high as 2,550m, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

Skiing

The ski area features the Montgélas and L’Étendard peaks, with a mix of blue, red, and black runs. Notable pistes include the long blue run 'Les Lacs' and the challenging 'Jean Pierre,' serviced by efficient lifts like the Grand Fond and the Col de La Madeleine.

St François Longchamp offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate and Beginner skiers.

Snowboarding

Snowboarders can enjoy the terrain park at 'Les Glieres,' which features jumps and rails suitable for all skill levels. The varied terrain also provides ample opportunities for freeriding.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to St François Longchamp is Chambery, 57 minutes drive away.

Annecy, Grenoble, Lyon St-Exupéry, Geneva, Lyon Bron, Turin Caselle, Saint-Étienne, Turin Cuneo and Sion airports are all within three hours drive.

Chambery is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

St François Longchamp is accessible via the nearest major airports: Chambéry (1.5 hours) and Grenoble (2 hours). Regular bus services connect the resort to these airports, making travel convenient.

The 17 ski lifts are able to uplift 15,000 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow-making is available, on 35km of ski runs, with 315 snow cannons.

When is St François Longchamp open?

Usual opening is mid December, and usual closing is Mid April.
