Clavière

Clavière is part of the Milky Way ski area, featuring over 400 km of pistes. The resort is known for its welcoming atmosphere and diverse skiing options for all levels.

The ski area of Clavière is in the Italian Alps at an altitude of 1,750m, with 33km of marked runs.

Clavière is part of the Via Lattea ski area with access to 400km of downhill skiing, with 265 marked pistes, served by a total of 70 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Clavière itself (33km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Via Lattea ski resorts of Cesana Torinese, Pragelato, San Sicario, Sauze d'Oulx and Sestrière.

The ski resort itself is at 1,750m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With ski lifts as high as 2,300m, snow cover is generally reliable.

 Notable Ski Runs

The longest possible descent in Clavière is 6km long and the most difficult run is the 'Kandahar Banchetta', which is 3km in length.

Skiing

The ski area in Clavière reaches an elevation of 2,590 meters, with a vertical drop of around 900 meters. Notable pistes include the long runs from the Col Basset and the easy slopes near the village, serviced by lifts such as the Clavière Express and the Cesana - Clavière lift.

There are a variety of pistes to suit all levels of skier ability, from Beginner to Expert.

Snowboarding

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Clavière is Turin Caselle, 86 minutes drive away.

Chambery, Grenoble, Turin Cuneo, Annecy, Milan Malpensa, Genoa, Geneva, Milan Linate and Bergamo airports are all within three hours drive.

Clavière is accessible via Turin Airport, approximately 90 km away, with a scenic drive through the mountains. Alternatively, you can reach the resort by train to Cesana Torinese and then take a short bus ride.

The 12 ski lifts are able to uplift 90,000 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow Making

Snow-making is available, on 40km of ski runs, with 250 snow cannons.

When is Clavière open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Mid April.
