Skiing

Meransen boasts around 50 km of picturesque slopes, primarily serviced by the Gitschberg and Jochtal ski areas. Key lifts include the Gitschberg cable car and the Jochtal gondola, with notable pistes like the red 'Zinseler' and the family-friendly 'Bergbahn' run, reaching elevations up to 2,500 meters.

There are a variety of pistes to suit all levels of skier ability, from Beginner to Expert.

Snowboarding

Snowboarders will enjoy the terrain parks available at both Gitschberg and Jochtal, featuring fun boxes and rails. The varied off-piste terrain also provides ample opportunity for thrilling rides.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Meransen is Bolzano, 59 minutes drive away.

Innsbruck Airport, Verona, Brescia, Salzburg, Munich, Bergamo and St. Gallen-Altenrhein airports are all within three hours drive.

Bolzano and Innsbruck Airport are just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

To reach Meransen, the nearest major airports are Bolzano and Innsbruck. From these airports, you can take a train or drive to the resort, enjoying scenic views along the way.

Ski Lift Capacity

The 11 ski lifts are able to uplift 11,250 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow Making

Snow-making is available, on 12km of ski runs, with 15 snow cannons.

Season Dates

When is Meransen open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Mid April.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.

Aprés Ski

After a day on the slopes, unwind at local favorites like the 'Pizzeria Montal' or the vibrant 'Bar S. Lucia.' For nightlife, the 'Keller' bar offers a lively atmosphere for post-ski drinks.
