Skiing

The Airolo ski area reaches an elevation of 2,200 meters and boasts over 30 kilometers of marked slopes. Key lifts include the Pizzotti and the Airolo - Pesciüm gondola, while notable pistes like the red 'Piz Sella' offer thrilling descents for experienced skiers.

There are a variety of pistes to suit all levels of skier ability, from Beginner to Expert.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Airolo is Lugano, 58 minutes drive away.

Zurich, Milan Malpensa, Milan Linate, Basel, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Bergamo, Berne, St. Gallen-Altenrhein and Brescia airports are all within three hours drive.

Lugano is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Airolo is easily accessible by train, with direct connections from major cities such as Lucerne and Milan. The nearest major airport is Lugano Airport, providing convenient access to the resort.
