Skiing

Gurten features a modest ski area with an elevation of 858 meters. The resort offers around 15 kilometers of slopes, including notable pistes like the family-friendly Gurtenbahn and the more challenging runs accessible via the Gurtenbahn lift.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Gurten is Berne, 20 minutes drive away.

Basel, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Zurich, Sion, Geneva, Annecy, St. Gallen-Altenrhein, Chambery and Strasbourg airports are all within three hours drive.

Berne is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Gurten is easily accessible from Bern, with regular public transport options including trams and buses. The nearest major airport is Bern Airport, providing convenient connections to the resort.
