Skiing

The surrounding mountains include the iconic Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau, with elevations reaching up to 4,158 meters. Key ski areas feature the Grindelwald-First and Wengen, offering notable pistes like the Lauberhorn and the First Flyer, with efficient lifts such as the Pfingstegg and Eigergletscher cable cars.

There are a variety of pistes to suit all levels of skier ability, from Beginner to Expert.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Interlaken is Berne, 60 minutes drive away.

Zurich, Basel, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Geneva, Sion, Lugano, St. Gallen-Altenrhein and Annecy airports are all within three hours drive.

Berne is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Traveling to Interlaken is convenient via public transport or car. The nearest major airports are Bern and Zurich, with train connections directly to Interlaken from both cities.

When is Interlaken open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is mid November, and usual closing is Mid April.
