The ski area at Mount Lyford features over 600 acres of skiable terrain, with an elevation reaching up to 1,800 meters. Notable pistes include the challenging 'The Chutes' and the family-friendly 'Learner's Area', serviced by the Lyford Chairlift and the T-Bar.

Mount Lyford offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate skiers.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Mount Lyford is Christchurch, 115 minutes drive away.

Woodbourne airport is also within three hours drive.

To reach Mount Lyford, drive from Christchurch along State Highway 1, then take the Inland Road to Kaikoura. The resort is approximately a 2.5-hour drive from Christchurch International Airport.
