How to get there
By Air
The nearest airport to Ohau Snow Fields is Wanaka, 104 minutes drive away.
Timaru and Queenstown airports are all within three hours drive.
To reach Ohau Snow Fields, drive from Christchurch, taking State Highway 1 and then the Tekapo-Ohau Road. The journey takes approximately 3.5 hours.

Usual opening is Late June, and usual closing is Early October.
