Skiing
The Tukino Ski Area features slopes ranging from beginner to advanced, with an elevation of 2,300 meters. Notable pistes include the Main Run and the challenging Black Run, accessible via the Tukino Chairlift and the T-Bar.

How to get there
By Air
The nearest airport to Tukino is Taupo, 53 minutes drive away.
Rotorua, Wanganui, Napier, Hamilton, Palmerston North, New Plymouth, Tauranga and Whakatane airports are all within three hours drive.
Taupo is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
To reach Tukino, the nearest major airport is Taupo Airport, approximately 90 minutes away by car. From Taupo, follow State Highway 1 and then take the access road to the ski area.

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.
Usual opening is Early July, and usual closing is Late Oct.

Aprés Ski
After a day on the slopes, enjoy the cozy atmosphere at the Tukino Lodge. The lodge offers a bar and restaurant, providing a perfect spot to unwind with friends and share stories of the day.
