Skiing

Villach’s ski area, known as Gerlitzen Alpe, boasts over 40 km of pistes at elevations ranging from 1,000 to 1,911 meters. Notable runs include the challenging 'Küheweg' and the family-friendly 'Wald', with lifts like the Kanzelbahn and Gipfelbahn ensuring easy access to the slopes.

Villach offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate skiers.

Snowboarding

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Villach is Klagenfurt, 40 minutes drive away.

Ljubljana, Trieste, Graz, Salzburg, Venice, Treviso, Zagreb, Linz and Rijeka airports are all within three hours drive.

Klagenfurt and Ljubljana are just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Traveling to Villach is convenient via major airports in Klagenfurt and Salzburg, both offering direct connections to the resort. From the airports, car rentals or shuttle services can easily transport you to the slopes.
