Skiing

The mountains at Geilo feature two main ski areas: Geilo Vest and Geilo Øst, offering a total of 39 slopes. Notable pistes include the Blue 1 and Red 3, while the main lifts are the Vestli Express and the Hufsa Express, reaching elevations of up to 1,200 meters.

Geilo offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate and Beginner skiers.

Snowboarding

Snowboarders will find excellent terrain parks at Geilo, including the Hufsa park, which features various jumps and rails. The variety of runs also makes it suitable for freestyle and freeride enthusiasts.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Geilo is Fagernes, 105 minutes drive away.

Geilo is accessible via train from Oslo or Bergen, with the nearest major airport being Oslo Gardermoen, approximately 220 kilometers away. Regular train services connect the airport to Geilo, making travel convenient.

Usual opening is mid November, and usual closing is Late April.
