The ski area of Château d'Oex is in the Swiss Alps at an altitude of 970m, with 50km of marked runs.

Château d'Oex is part of the Gstaad Mountain Rides ski area with access to 250km of downhill skiing, with 144 marked pistes, served by a total of 57 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Château d'Oex itself (50km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Gstaad Mountain Rides ski resorts of Gstaad, Saanen, Saanenmöser, Schönried and Zweisimmen. Château d'Oex is directly linked by Ski Lift to the ski areas of Anzère.

Skiing

The resort is part of the larger Pays-d'Enhaut ski area, offering over 90 kilometers of slopes with elevations reaching up to 2,200 meters. Notable pistes include the La Braye and the Les Paccots, while the main lifts include the gondola to La Braye and the chairlift to the Tête de Ran.

There are a variety of pistes to suit all levels of skier ability, from Beginner to Expert.

Snowboarding

Snowboarders will find ample opportunities at Château d'Oex, particularly at the terrain park located near the main ski area. This park features various jumps and obstacles suitable for all levels, ensuring a fun experience.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Château d'Oex is Sion, 70 minutes drive away.

Berne, Geneva, Basel, Annecy, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Zurich and Chambery airports are all within three hours drive.

Château d'Oex is easily accessible via public transport, with the nearest major train station located in Montreux. From there, regular trains connect to the resort, providing a scenic journey through the Swiss countryside.
