Laax

Laax is a renowned ski resort in Switzerland, perfect for winter sports enthusiasts. With extensive slopes and vibrant après-ski, it attracts skiers and snowboarders alike.

Laax boasts over 224 kilometers of ski runs, catering to all skill levels. Its modern lift system ensures quick access to the mountain's diverse terrain and stunning views.

The ski area of Laax is in the Swiss Alps at an altitude of 1,100m, with 235km of marked runs.

Laax is part of the Flims-Laax-Falera ski area with access to 103 marked pistes, served by a total of 63 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Laax itself (235km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Flims-Laax-Falera ski resorts of Falera and Flims. Laax is directly linked by Ski Lift to the ski areas of Falera and Flims.

With ski lifts as high as 2,477m, snow cover is generally reliable.

The longest possible descent in Laax is 14km long and the most difficult run is the 'Fatschas 65'.

Skiing

The Laax ski area features the majestic Flims-Laax-Falera region, with elevations reaching up to 3,018 meters. Notable pistes include the long descent from the Vorab Glacier and the family-friendly slopes of the Laax valley, serviced by efficient lifts like the Laax gondola and the Crap Sogn Gion lift.

There are a variety of pistes to suit all levels of skier ability, from Beginner to Expert.

Snowboarding

Snowboarders will find excellent terrain parks at Laax, including the renowned Superpark, which offers a variety of jumps, rails, and creative features. The park caters to all skill levels, making it a popular spot for both beginners and advanced riders.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Laax is St. Gallen-Altenrhein, 77 minutes drive away.

Friedrichshafen, Lugano, Zurich, Memmingen, Milan Malpensa, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Innsbruck Airport, Milan Linate and Basel airports are all within three hours drive.

Traveling to Laax is convenient via major airports like Zurich and Basel. From Zurich, take a train to Ilanz, followed by a bus to the resort, making it an accessible destination for skiers and snowboarders.

Ski Lift Capacity

The 30 ski lifts are able to uplift 42,000 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow Making

Snow-making is available, on 15km of ski runs, with 80 snow cannons.

Season Dates

When is Laax open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is early November (Open weekends in November then fully open from mid December), and usual closing is Late April.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.
