Gosau is part of the Dachstein West ski area with access to 97 marked pistes, served by a total of 81 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Gosau itself (56km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Dachstein West ski resorts of Abtenau, Annaberg im Lammertal, Katrin - Bad Ischl, Krippenstein, Obertraun/Dachstein and Rußbach.

Skiing
The Gosau ski area features over 140 kilometers of varied slopes, with elevations reaching up to 2,100 meters. Notable pistes include the challenging 'Schwarze Piste' and the scenic 'Panoramaabfahrt,' with efficient lifts like the Hornspitz Express and the Dachstein Gletscherbahn providing easy access to the terrain.
Gosau offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate skiers.

How to get there
By Air
The nearest airport to Gosau is Salzburg, 60 minutes drive away.
Linz, Munich, Klagenfurt, Graz, Ljubljana and Innsbruck Airport airports are all within three hours drive.
Salzburg is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
Gosau is easily accessible via major transport hubs. The nearest airports are Salzburg and Linz, both offering convenient connections to the resort, with scenic drives through the Alpine landscape enhancing your journey.

The 10 ski lifts are able to uplift 35,000 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

When is Gosau open?
We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.
Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Mid April.
