The mountains around Giswil include the impressive ranges of the Obwalden region, with a maximum elevation of 1,400 meters. Ski areas such as Mörlialp provide diverse pistes; notable runs include the 'Höhe' and 'Schwarzsee' slopes, accessible via the Mörlialp and Giswiler Höhen lifts.

 By Air

The nearest airport to Giswil is Zurich, 66 minutes drive away.

Berne, Basel, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, St. Gallen-Altenrhein, Lugano, Friedrichshafen, Sion, Strasbourg and Geneva airports are all within three hours drive.

Zurich is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Giswil is easily accessible via the A8 motorway, with the nearest major airport being Zurich Airport, approximately 70 km away. Regular train services also connect Giswil to other Swiss cities, making travel convenient.
