Watles is part of the Ortler Skiarena area with access to 123 marked pistes, served by a total of 79 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Watles itself (18km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Ortler Skiarena ski resorts of Haideralm, Latsch Tarscheralm, Maseben, Mendel Ruffrè, Meran 2000, Pfelders, Reinswald, Rittner Horn, Schnalstal, Schöneben, Schwemmalm, Sulden am Ortler, Trafoi am Ortler and Vigiljoch.
The ski resort itself is at 1,738m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With ski lifts as high as 2,500m, snow cover is generally reliable.

How to get there
By Air
The nearest airport to Watles is Bolzano, 76 minutes drive away.
Innsbruck Airport, St. Gallen-Altenrhein, Verona, Friedrichshafen and Memmingen airports are all within three hours drive.
To reach Watles, fly into Innsbruck or Verona, both offering excellent connections to the region. From there, a scenic drive through the Alps leads directly to the resort.
