Torgon

Torgon is a picturesque ski resort nestled in the Swiss Alps. It offers a blend of scenic slopes and family-friendly activities for all skill levels.

 Summary

With access to the expansive Portes du Soleil ski area, Torgon boasts over 600 kilometers of pistes. A perfect destination for families and avid skiers, the resort features stunning views and a welcoming atmosphere.

The ski area of Torgon is in the Swiss Alps at an altitude of 1,150m, with 35km of marked runs.

Torgon is part of the Portes du Soleil ski area with access to 650km of downhill skiing, with 285 marked pistes, served by a total of 196 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Torgon itself (35km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Portes du Soleil ski resorts of Champéry, Champoussin, Les Crosets, Morgins, Abondance, Avoriaz, Châtel, La Chapelle d'Abondance, La Grande Terche, Les Gets, Montriond, Morzine and Saint Jean d'Aulps.

With ski lifts as high as 2,001m, snow cover is generally reliable.

Skiing

The mountains around Torgon reach elevations of up to 2,400 meters, providing a diverse range of ski areas. Notable pistes include the long runs from the top of La Jorette, while the Torgon gondola and the Châtel ski lifts offer convenient access to the slopes.

There are a variety of pistes to suit all levels of skier ability, from Beginner to Expert.

Snowboarding

Snowboarders will find excellent terrain parks in Torgon, including the well-maintained park at Les Crosets. With features catering to all levels, it's a great spot to practice jumps and tricks.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Torgon is Sion, 60 minutes drive away.

Geneva, Berne, Annecy, Basel, Chambery, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Zurich, Dole–Jura and Turin Caselle airports are all within three hours drive.

Sion is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Torgon is easily accessible via major transport routes, with Geneva Airport being the closest international hub. From the airport, a scenic drive or shuttle service will take you directly to the resort in about an hour and a half.

The 11 ski lifts are able to uplift 12,000 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow-making is available, on 5km of ski runs, with 6 snow cannons.

Aprés Ski

After a day on the slopes, unwind at the popular Bar Les Cimes, known for its cozy atmosphere and live music. Alternatively, enjoy a meal at Le Relais, which offers Swiss specialties and stunning views.
