Nestled in the Val d'Illiez, Champéry provides access to the vast Portes du Soleil ski area. With over 600 kilometers of slopes, it caters to all skill levels amid breathtaking mountain scenery.

The ski area of Champéry is in the Swiss Alps at an altitude of 1,050m, with 165km of marked runs.

Champéry is part of the Portes du Soleil ski area with access to 650km of downhill skiing, with 285 marked pistes, served by a total of 196 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Champéry itself (165km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Portes du Soleil ski resorts of Champoussin, Les Crosets, Morgins, Torgon, Abondance, Avoriaz, Châtel, La Chapelle d'Abondance, La Grande Terche, Les Gets, Montriond, Morzine and Saint Jean d'Aulps.

With ski lifts as high as 2,280m, snow cover is generally reliable.

Skiing

Champéry's ski area features the majestic Dents du Midi mountain range, with elevations reaching up to 2,466 meters. Notable pistes include the Les Crosets and Champéry-Les Crosets runs, accessed by lifts such as the Grand Paradis and Telepherique du Croix de Culet.

Champéry offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate skiers.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Champéry is Sion, 60 minutes drive away.

Geneva, Berne, Annecy, Basel, Chambery, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Zurich, Dole–Jura and Turin Caselle airports are all within three hours drive.

Sion is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Champéry is easily accessible via Geneva Airport, approximately 1.5 hours away by car. The resort is also reachable by train, with connections from major Swiss cities leading to Aigle and then a short transfer to Champéry.

The 27 ski lifts are able to uplift 26,450 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow-making is available, on 50km of ski runs, with 636 snow cannons.

When is Champéry open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is late December, and usual closing is Mid April.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.

Aprés Ski

After a day on the slopes, visitors can unwind at popular spots like the Bar Le Funi and Les Caves. For dining, La Pinte offers local cuisine, while the lively atmosphere at Le Barillon keeps the night going.
